16Ways Foundation provides books and free tutoring to inner city youth, ages 6-12 in conjunction with our tutoring outreach program. The purpose is to encourage an appreciation of reading, while improving critical reading and writing skills.

We believe in fostering an appreciation of reading, while improving critical reading and writing skills, which is why we have expanded our relationship with The Carnegie Center for Literacy & Learning in Lexington, KY. The Carnegie Center’s mission for improving literacy parallels 16Ways’ goals. We want youth to have quality opportunities to get academic assistance, and The Carnegie Center has a long reach.

16Ways Foundation pledges to continue providing books to the center with the help of our partnership with Scholastic Books and its Family and Community Engagement (FACE) program, recommend that local youth apply for a spot in Carnegie’s free tutoring program, and provide financial support. After years of supporting literacy, we still RAWK!
