Changing Lives One Putt at a Time Charity Golf Event Hits a “Hole in One”

We were thrilled to be able to return to University Club of Lexington to host our 4th charity golf event on July 23, 2021. After a 2020 hiatus, the 16ways staff and participating golfers were full of energy to hit the green. Twenty teams participated for various superlative recognitions and bragging rights. Ultimately, Team Marksbury walked away with the putting prize. One of the highlights of the event occurred during lunch that was generously provided by Black Soil KY (https://www.shopblacksoilky.com/about). Melanie Trowell, of Fayette County Schools, spoke candidly to participants about the impact 16Ways had during the 2020-21 schoolyear for students who did not have reliable Internet access. She expressed sincere appreciation to the foundation for supplying 30 hot spot devices to various Fayette County middle schools. It was important for charity golf participants to know where a portion of their donated funds go.
