16Ways and Carnegie Center for Literacy & Learning Maintain a Deeply Rooted Relationship

16Ways Foundation formed a bond with Carnegie Center of Lexington, KY many years ago after learning that we shared a common vision as it relates to youth literacy. As such, we use an annual percentage of the funds we raise to support Carnegie Center’s efforts. During the 2020-21 schoolyear, we were able to help the center serve 227 children through virtual tutoring. All were students who were previously falling behind their peers. In addition to tutoring-specific efforts, we donated 100s of new books that helped Carnegie Center distribute 3,900 children's books and regularly restock 60+ Free Little Libraries in Lexington's poorest neighborhoods. Additionally, some of the books were distributed at the Center’s August 1st Back to School Bash.

We appreciate the partnership we have with, and appreciation from Carnegie Center for Literacy & Learning.
